Birds on a Branch Baby Mobile

Well, my new niece is here.  Welcome baby Adelaide!  I'm going down to San Diego this week for just the day.  Olivia and I will drive down late in the evening, and then come back the next evening.  It's a short trip, but I can't stand it, I want to hold her and smell her newborness.

I've been wanting to share the mobile I made for her nursery.  I already shared the Squares in Pairs Quilt that I made for her.  But, this is a really fun mobile.  My brother and sister in law applied some white birch tree decals to the pale grey walls, and the mobile that hangs over the crib, looks like an extension of the branches.

Remember our birch tree that died, well part of it lives on in the nursery too.  I made these simple fabric birds following this great pattern.  I cut out leaves from some textured card stock and attached them with hot glue.  And to hang the mobile and wrapped some natural twine around the branch.

I also made one of my yarn wrapped wreaths for her and added a bird to it as well.  The wreaths are available on my etsy shop.  And if you like the wreath with the bird, just send me a message and I can make a custom bird for you as well.
