I picked up this beautiful Nikki McClure print the last time I was in Eureka. I got it at my favorite shop in Old Town, Shipwreck. Lonnie was with me when we spotted it, and we both had an immediate connection to the image and message. You know how some art just speaks to who you are or what you believe. Well, this did for us. It appealed to us on so many levels.
Some of our most precious memories with our kids are when we are camping together. There is nothing more bonding then sleeping in a tent together. It's one of my most favorite things to do, and so much better with my favorite people. And really, camping and being in the outdoors is where we find time to breathe. A weekend at home brings chores, laundry, and obligations. Heading out to nature is where we really get relaxation.
I framed this 11 x 14 print in a simple white frame. I decided to just prop it up on the mantel beside one of my vintage book page birds. I was getting tired of the same old look, so I traded some accessories from other rooms in my house. I even brought out one of Lonnie's globes, and I like the color that it brings.
Do you ever crave just little changes in you interiors? Do you shop other rooms in your home to liven up another space? Or are you stuck in a rut and the same old vase sits on the same old side table with the same old lamp year after year?
And even more importantly, how do you connect with your loved ones. Where and how does that happen best?
